How would you feel, when you do not get what you deserve? I am really sorry for initiating this article with a question, but I feel that it’s very important for the better understanding of the following lines. Coming back to the question, let me try to tell you what I feel, so that we may have a common understanding, if we have the same thought. I think that it’s very important to put your best in whatever job you do. Sadly, I find that just doing the best doesn’t help to get what you need in life. You need to do MORE.
Having said that, it’s my duty to tell you what MORE people expect in order to provide you back what you deserve. For those of you finding this statement either big or complicated, it’s like this. You do a best job for a hike or promotion. But you do not get it until you beg for it the only reason is just doing the best is not enough.
An article I read runs thus.” Begging is a problem for society, as large number of beggars’ means non- utilization of available human resources and a drag on the existing resources of the society”. I took this as my topic for today, because I desperately want to tell everyone the truth, that people in our country like others begging.
With the nation aspiring to achieve world standards in every field, you may not accept this very fact I’m proposing here. But trust me I am a patriot too. But a thing that happens around me wants me to accuse the nation for such tragic attitude development in people. Even this moment as you read this line, you may wonder why curse the county and not the people. It’s only in India you see this attitude filled people.
History says, in Buddhism, monks, and nuns traditionally live by begging for alms, as did the historical Gautama Buddha himself. In traditional Christianity, the rich were encouraged to serve the poor. But I do not find that it served the cause. Beggars are commonly found in public places such as street corners or public transport, where they request money, most commonly in the form of spare change. We hate to see them and consider them a nuisance.
Even in movies, you could have seen a girl or a boy running behind their love and would keep on begging for their mercy for love. The program that runs “Deala No Deala“ makes lucky winners with large amount money, only after they cry in front of the camera and beg the anchor for money to meet their days end.
If things turned very bad for you, would your pride allow you to beg on the street corner for money? Would you continue to beg if you were given sufficient money, or would you try to be industrious with the money you received? I also read that Begging, on the other hand, promotes humility and gratitude, not only towards the individuals who are giving food, but towards the Universe in general. But for me it does not.
